The 2020 Formula 1 Racing Season

After a fascinating 2019 season which saw Mercedes win both the constructors championship and drivers championship,courtesy of now 6 time world championship driver Lewis Hamilton from England, the 2020 Formula One season will be the most exciting yet! After a second place finish last season Ferarri aim to catch Mercedes prominently through Charles LeClerc, now racing in his second season for the Italian team. Just behind them, howeever, Max Verstappen, arguably the most promising young talent in the sport, aims to close the gap on both Mercedes and Ferarri with Red Bull claiming to get back to their world championship winning ways!

In Formula One it is very common for teams to switch up and change their drivers making the sport that much more
competitive. With only 10 teams and 2 drivers per team there are only 20 Formula 1 drivers at a time competing per season.
The 2020 season may perhaps be one of the most important as the contracts of some of the sports' finest are expiring soon.
Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari), Max Verstappen (Red Bull), Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), and Valtteri Botas (Mercedes) all have
contracts expiring at the end of this 2020 season, so the teams better impress if they want to tie down their star drivers to new
contracts! On the flip side drivers have to make sure their performances impress enough to earn them a new contract to keep
them in the lineups for the upcoming season as only Charles Leclerc (Ferarri), Esteban Ocon (Renault), and Sergio Perez
(Racing Point) have contracts set beyond the 2020 season.
